Wait for a ton of patches and a 50% price cut. Combat feels unrewarding and uninspired, guarding and parrying are very inconsistent and sword impacts feel like a dry pool noodle. World feels empty and lifeless for the most part, few robots here a few there and a few animals. Ran into a bug fighting an elite enemy after using Koo's ability threw me across the map and healed the boss to full. You might say well just go fight him again... NO you go fight him again I'm not dealing with this silliness. All in all it feels like a TEMU Stellar Blade for a AAA price. Really the best thing I can say about the game is it ran pretty well and the graphics weren't super bad but that's debatable depending on who you ask. 4/10

Ugh as other have said: so close yet so far. It feels half baked. Lifeless characters, no musical variety. The combat feels good at times but inconsistent at others. Hopefully Game Freak updates this and performance gets better. Even on my 5090, its a mess. It almost scratched the sekiro itch. Putting this on the back burner in the hopes it gets fixed.

Beast of Reincarnation was honestly disappointing for me.. The optimization is pretty bad, even on my 5060ti (16gb one), and the game just doesn’t feel polished enough for a full price release.. The AI usage also really takes me out of it, feels weird seeing that in a game like this.. Then they delayed the release by 6 hours, which was already annoying, but smh pirates were playing the game 3 days earlier while people who actually preordered it at full price were still waiting.. After all this, I’m definitely waiting for a sale. Not worth paying full price for this one imo..

I can't really recommend this game at its current price. Frankly its not a terrible game but its not good either. Its just very middling. The overall story and English voice acting aren't that great. The exploration rewards are occasionally an interesting blueprint for crafting a consumable but usually they are just some currency and a generic book you can sell for more currency. I would probably wait to get this one to see if they improve it or it goes on sale. I would love to refund it but unfortunately I kept giving it more time to see if the game clicked and it never did.

I’m so glad I decided to try out this game myself, instead of listening to the bad reviews of people that barely finished the first zone. I grew quite sceptical after reading all the negative reviews, but after playing Beast of Reincarnation for a while, I started to think that they played a completely different game. The game has its issues, mostly performance ones, but it just isn’t as bad as everyone says. Personally? I’m having a great time playing this game, but I’m also a fan of Nier Automata, Final Fantasy and other JRPGs. The combat is fluid, the story is good (I’m maybe halfway through the game), so if you like Japanese games you will probably like this one too! Just give it a go and make your own opinion, it’s worth it. Also you can pet the dog and give him treats.
