Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

I had open heart surgery on the 10th of March 2025, which required weeks of recovery in the hospital and at home. I bought this game specifically for that reason, and it was pretty much all I played on my Steam Deck, while I was recovering. One of my favourite games, that will forever hold a special place in my mended heart.

I preferred the first game's story, but everything else is better in the sequel.

My entire 80 to 100+ hour playthrough was completely destroyed in the final quest, when Mikesh and Kizliek arent spawning in. This just ruined an entire playthrough, i looked it over and saw a post talking about it. HOW HAS IT NOT BEEN FIXED IN OVER 8 MONTHS!? This is actually insane!

Story and characters of the game are legendary. I didn't expected it to be so huge and rich with content, twists and story arcs. Sound and graphics are great as well. Game mechanics are not so good in comparison (especially crafting and alchemy), but still much improved over KCD1. I didn't like how much walking I had to do, but it was still an amazing experience. Great game, amazing RPG, I recommend it to everyone! :)

"Controller" controls are too buggy to functionally play the game, and searching the problem shows lot's of other players are experiencing the same. I want to try and like the game, but it isn't terribly playable in its current state. I'll come back in a year or two if I'm bored and give this another shot to see if they've bothered fixing it by then to update my review.
