An ingenious idea decimated by horrendous pacing and somehow even worse character development. Amidst the mangled corpse of a game there're hints of brilliance and so much potential. Could have gone down in history as one of the greatest games of all time if Kojima didn't just George Lucas himself and instead hired a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ editor to Frankenstein this piece of ♥♥♥♥ back together.

might be the most pretentious piece of media i've ever encountered. character names and dialogue are cringe, and cutscenes are unbearable. actual gameplay in the brief segments between cutscenes is uninspired. environments are pretty and the music is nice, so just walking around in the world is peaceful, but the constant balance prompts are an uninteresting chore. all of the actual objectives are a slog so i gave up on playing and just watched some videos to learn the story, hoping to understand what all the hype was about. but i still don't see why anyone likes this. kojima has absolutely nothing to say but thinks he's making the most interesting, deep art in history. he needs an editor to cut 95% of his garbage and then maybe there would be 2 hours of worthwhile content left at the end.

GREAT GAME IF YOU LOVE STORY! however if you are a man of action it is lacking in some regard but the game is set up in a way you want to help and the best way to do that is by delivery. The story is awesome. 10/10 game.

前期及其震撼，所以入坑了，没想到后面剧情如此拉？一贯的阴湿视角+男凝+奇怪的价值观很日本，如果是因为剧情入我建议你区看解说比自己玩要划得来； 游戏性来说的话真的是打发时间的神器，有时候我真的会需要那种什么都不想，接到订单，然后plot好路线就嘎嘎送货的游戏，挺解压的。 游戏不稳定，玩到后期焦油地疯狂闪退

replayed a third time before playing the second game still one of my favorite games i missed so much on my first playthrough that it felt like a different game
