You think you have free will in this life until a virtual 20-sided die decides your entire destiny. Still, where else can you miss a 99% hit on a sleeping goblin but successfully gaslit a demon lord into committing suicide? Best game ever.
Probably one of the best games ever made. Even if you think you messed up - keep playing. DO NOT DELETE YOUR SAVE AND MAKE A NEW ONE. I have replayed acts 1 and 2 many times, but have only reached act 3 once. Now I cannot play act 3 because I am burned out on acts 1 and 2...
Play divinity original sin 2 instead, the npc's treat you like ♥♥♥♥ in both games, and dos2 has a more compelling story to this game, which is ironic because this game is not Baldur's Gate 3 It is Divinity original sin 3, with a very well crafted veneer of Faerun on top. You have to mod this game ostensibly for it to be interesting. I want to be clear i do not blame Larian for the Story issues on this one cause the dead three-absolute plot is dumb as ♥♥♥♥, and that is just dnd cannon so meh. If anyone wonders why i have hours in this game and Not dos2 on steam, I got dos2 on a different platform and lost the account.
If I'm not playing the game, I'm thinking about it. If I'm not thinking about it, I am probably dead. Finish my playthrough for me if this error occurs.
Really fun tabletop RPG that will easily sink a lot of your time. A lot of options to build your character however you want. There are massive power spikes later in the game that will make combat trivial. I didn't have any specialized build but was doing massive damage each turn. The first two acts are beautifully crafted and it feels like you can actually lose your battles if you don't fight well and plan it out. Act 3 is where it sort of falls apart in terms of story, performance, and stability. The last act was easily the most laggiest and glitchest of them all. However, the boss battles during this act were really interesting and fun to play out despite having really strong characters. The story also falls apart during this act. It felt like Larian rushed this part of the game since some decisions for characters near the end of the game don't make sense.
I mean obviously. I would call it the game of the decade, but I think it came out within 10 years of Divinity 2. Larion is the studio to watch if you're looking for good RPG content, picking up where Bioware left off when they disasterously married themselves to EA.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is a story-rich, party-based RPG set in the universe of Dungeons & Dragons, where your choices shape a tale of fellowship and betrayal, survival and sacrifice, and the lure of absolute power.
