Donnie Yen joins the blade
Martial-arts legend Donnie Yen is on board as Creative Consultant — and plays Mó Yuan. For a game whose whole identity is authentic, weighty, close-quarters combat, having one of cinema's definitive action stars shaping the fight choreography is exactly the stamp of credibility it wanted.
Phantom Blade Zero is a single-player wuxia action RPG — S-GAME calls its style “Kungfupunk” — that revisits the universe of the studio's earlier Rainblood and Phantom Blade games with a new, self-contained story. The pitch is speed and precision: parry-heavy, weapon-swapping combat and boss fights built to be learned and mastered.
After a short delay, it lands 29 October 2026 on PS5 and PC (Steam and the Epic Games Store). If soulslike-adjacent action with real martial-arts pedigree is your thing, this is one to circle.
