I always find myself coming back to Dying Light because the gameplay is just so satisfying. The parkour makes exploring the city feel fast and natural, and turning rooftops into your main path never really gets old. The melee combat has a lot of weight to it too, especially once you start crafting stronger weapons and unlocking new abilities. What really makes the game stand out is the day-and-night cycle. During the day you can take your time exploring, but once the sun goes down, everything changes. Suddenly you're running for your life, avoiding Volatiles, and every trip across the city becomes genuinely tense. The story is decent, but it's the gameplay, atmosphere, and constant sense of danger that make it such a memorable zombie game.
There's a damn good chance we will never get a zombie game as good as this one. Dying Light was my first zombie game ever, and I've yet to experience anything even nearly as scary as the Volatile chase near the beginning of the game.
If there was a videogame zombie heaven, this is it. Quite possibly the best AAA zombie game ever made. Playing with enhanced visuals and all the dlc weapon blueprints is a treat for my patientgamer rear. Aside from the high amount of scavegning u gotta do (which is just busy-work) I absolutely love everything about this game.
this game is basically how your parents tell you they used to commute....JOKES ASIDE THIS GAME HAS NO FUKEN RIGHT BEING THIS GOOOOOD!!!!!! GET IT GET IT GET IT
Good game. First time playing it, and in 2026, it still feels refreshing and entertaining, especially night time.
Peak I remember playing this on my ps4 and this is still good on computer. This game is ahead of its time its so realistic and in my opinion its so worth it. If you have not played this game before you should, this is a core memory for all gamers. Not only for the new one's but old, this game had so much content and is so good i feel like i overrate it a lot but its worth it. I think of this game as a tv with its screen broken but you know you can repair it and once you do, you can use it again and you think "this was worth all the work i did repairing the tv" and even though the tv may be if your storage the next year you will use it one day and be happy you repaired that tv.
