Resident Evil 4

Unnecessary remake, lost many of it's unique art direction in the process. Just play the original.

I honestly cannot find anything bad to say about this game, it's an easy pick for my top 5 best games I've ever played.

Without a doubt the best game remake of all time. Combat is great, fun, and arguably the best part, with so many loadout options and enemy variety, it never got dull or repetitive for me. Story was definitely more of an upgrade rather than downgrade to the original, although the change of certain lines to fit the modern audience is unwelcomed. In traditional RE fashion, the game has high replayability, allowing you to play the game numberous times without getting bored, and a lot of challenges and rewards to incentivize the player to keep playing, which definitely worked on me. Most definitely worth it, if you somehow still haven't bought it, now's the best time to do so, you can get it for less than 20€, including the separate ways DLC. Overall a 9/10, a point down for dialogue changes, but otherwise a flawless masterpiece.

This game wansnt for me. Its all action, shooting, looting constant fighting with weapons. Combat system is fine, there are also some new features. Characters were also fine leon has some cool voice lines, enemyes have cool design But for the gameplay it felt like the same over again: Ashley and you (leon) are separated, go through tons of enemyes, kill them, get unexpected obstacle, find ashley. Again until the end. I enjoyed re2 a lot more cause it had more puzzles, stuff to find out and not constant enemyes to kill But if you want only shoot story game you will like this

Genuinely amazing action-packed game and my first experience with RE4, one of the better remakes ever made for any game in recent years, you can play it without feeling too guilty for not playing the original IMO (unlike Silent Larp 2 2024 remake). A lot of quality of life changes, logical retconning even Shinji Mikami is satisfied with and tastefully reimagined set pieces, although i thought some of them were more atmospheric in the original game i can't list them without making it look like i'm cherry picking. 100% worth it

Resident Evil 4 was where the series meaningfully evolved into an entirely different kind of beast. This excellent remake is an absolute high point for the series.
